These recent collaborations and adaptations of art into fashion reflect its endless ability to inspire articulate, and give designers an endless field of creativity. This spring a vibrant array of collections have exhibited a creative temperament that goes above and beyond and each reflecting a different, unique style: Karl Lagerfeld x Steven Wilson, Marc Jacobs x Julie Verhoeven and Louis Vuitton x Jeff Koons, all variant in their artistic scope and limitless in their fashion potential.
Karl Lagerfeld x Steven Wilson
Karl Lagerfeld's collaboration with artist Steven Wilson gives the staple Karl Lagerfeld pieces a burst of color featuring Karl himself and his cat choupette. The capsule collection features t-shirts, dresses, bomber jackets, backpacks, purses and even key chains and iPhone covers. Steven Wilson's multi colored illustrations are three layers of magenta, yellow and cyan giving Karl Lagerfeld's label a modern artistic twist.

Marc Jacobs xJulie Verhoeven
The collection featured contemporary pop culture with a whimsical streak. A slew of Iconography on clothing and accessories featuring frogs, lips, hairdryers, rainbows, colored teeth and a skyline of NYC. Colorful intrinsic designs blend with python, suede and cashmere. High thigh socks with iridescent shorts and vibrant mini skirts flash against sheer embroidered lace and twill ruffled sleeves teasing traditional camouflage print. Artist Julie Verhoeven with Marc Jacobs reconstructed street wear to reflect the labels style with her own, contemporary, city vibe with a pop of color.

Louis Vuitton x Jeff Koons
Louis Vuitton x Jeff Koons is a collection as classic as the themes that it features. Jeff Koons was inspired by his 'Gazing Ball' paintings which are hand painted reproductions of celebrated artists. Louis Vuitton exhibited the opening of its collection at the Louvre in Paris. Celebrities and personalities all posed with this exquisite collection at its opening celebrating the combination of great art with the traditional French house’s long history of haute couture. The premium LV leather is adorned by five paintings of some of the greatest artists in history, Van Gogh, Da Vinci, Peter Paul Rubens, Jean Honoré Fragonard and Titian. Duffel bags, wallets, scarves featuring the Mona Lisa, Mars, Venus and Cupid, The Tiger Hunt, Girl with and A Wheatfield with Cypresses. With the name of the painter blazed across each item, the inside features the painters picture and a short biography. Each item also has an inflatable rabbit hanging of it, a recognizable icon of the artist and a first time for Louis Vuitton.
